The Edinburgh Backpackers Hostel has more than 18 double and twin rooms across four separate buildings in the best location in town. We also have bright, clean and spacious dorm rooms. In our main building we have a variety of spacious dormitories, ranging in size from five to 14 beds. There are also three 'penthouse' private rooms located on the top floor. This building features a fully equipped kitchen, TV room (with Sky TV) and a games room (with pool table).If you’re in the market for something quiet we have three separate buildings that house our private rooms. We have a large selection of standard and en-suite double/twin rooms and a couple of triple and quad rooms. These buildings are very popular with couples and small groups.We strive to offer a lively atmosphere, friendly knowledgeable staff, affordable prices and a comfortable stay, with free Wi-fi, 24 hour reception and lockers (deposit taken) for everyone.We are conveniently located in the heart of the historic Old Town, just off the Royal Mile. The hostel is within easy walking distance of all major tourist attractions and Edinburgh's wild nightlife.All staff have extensive knowledge of the best and cheapest places to eat, drink and party in this exciting city. Guests are invited to join us on any of our regular nights out and to pick our brains for the best places to go for your own nights out. This hostel is run by backpackers for backpackers!If you don't feel like cooking we have a great café directly next door to the hostel. The Southern Cross Café offers 15% discount to all hostel guests and they do a fantastic full Scottish Breakfast for only £3.95.
