Another option is to take a local bus (the company is called Rota) from the bus station in Ilheus. It's a 1 hr 40 min bus journey to Itacare. From there you can take a taxi to the hostel or walk the distance of 10 minutes to Pituba Street where the hostel is located.This is the best hostel in Itacare to practice your Portuguese and Spanish while still being understood in English! We host travellers and backpackers from all over the world, particularly Latin Americans and Brazilians.
