The Woolshed is a small, truly unique, multi-award winning Backpackers built along the theme of an Aussie Woolshed. Clean, friendly, quiet, family run hostel. The perfect escape from the hostel party circuit. Our rooms are spread out over 4 buildings situated on 1 acre of lush tropical gardens and a large lawn! We are located right in the center of Hervey Bay and only a 400m walk to the beach, shops, supermarket, restaurants and a couple of good pubs.Here at the Woolshed Backpackers we like to do our best to make all of our guests feel very welcome and at home. Which is not hard as we live here too! Our tropical gardens, surrounded by ponds, palms and gum trees attract a lot of wildlife, there is daily parrot feeding, possums like to drop in for a visit and Hervey Bays famous fruit bats can be spotted most evenings as they fly in their thousands over the Woolshed on their way to Fraser Island.If you would like to meet the other guests, find new friends, have a drink and a chat, why not drop in at our common room. It resembles an Aussie Woolshed, is entirely built of wood, oozes character and has a surreal atmosphere that needs to be experienced. There is a well equipped kitchen within this building with gas cookers, microwave, fridge, freezer and lots of cooking gear.There are no hidden extras like linen fees, day use fees or crockery deposits.Our office hours are 7.00am-7.00pm Mon-Sat & 7am-11am then 4pm-7pm Sun.
