We had booked and confirmed our stay at Villa Garafano however when we turned up there wasn't a soul in sight. Doors locked and no one to answer the phone. We didn't even receive any communication that the place had indeed closed for some period of time. Poor form

This was my first stay in a hostel and based on the experience at Villa Garofano I would definitely do it again. The hostel was near a main bus route which made it easy to go wherever we wanted. There were plenty of shops and restaurants around, too. My favorite part might have been that we did not have to trek down to the public beach. The bathroom was a little small but I can't complain because it was private. The guys who work at Villa Garofano were awesome!

Great place! Very friendly staff that told us everything, we wanted to know. The breakfast was super. A bit far from the train station, but the bus stops just in front of the hostel, and otherwise it was very near to the great beach.

There was no air con in the room, but other than that, the hostel was really good. The location was great and the restaurant they recommended was super.

The staff in this hostel was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and the location is just perfect! 5 mins from beach. The bathroom was a bit dirty which was the only thing I did not like. Otherwise it was a good hostel. Thank you very much.
