EL HOSTEL ESTA MUY BUENO, HABIAMOS RESERVADO SIN CONOCERLO Y PASAMOS MUY BIEN NUESTRA ESTADIA ALLI. TIENE UNA EXCELENTE UBICACION EN LA CIUDAD DE SALVADOR,UNA BUENA SEGURIDAD, LA LIMPIEZA ES BUENA, Y EL DESAYUNO ES EXCELENTE. EL STAFF NOS TRATO MUY BIEN Y LUEGO DE ALGUNOS DIAS DESPUES DE IR A MORRO DE SAN PABLO VOLVIMOS A SALVADOR Y VOLVIMOS A HOSPEDARNOS EN `BARRA GUEST` POR EL CALIDO TRATO DE SU GENTE Y LA BUENA SENSACION QUE NOS QUEDO DE LA PRIMER ESTADIA.
ES UN LUGAR PARA RECOMENDAR!!!!!!

Staying here was the absolute best. It's very convenient and close to the beaches, restaurants, bus lines. Plus, Russell is unbelievably helpful with suggesting things to do, helping you get around, and just making your trip that much better. The rooms were very clean, and the breakfast is much better than any other hostel I have stayed in. I would recommend to anyone traveling to Salvador.

This is a fantastic hostel. It's located in the Barra neighbourhood of Salvador which is right next to the beaches and is one of the safer parts of Salvador. You'll need to take a bus ridetaxi to the Pelourinho and city centre but this isn't a hassle. The staff here are friendly and helpful. It isn't a party type hostel but you'll still get to meet other travellers as well.

The Barra Guest house is the BEST hostel I have ever been to, that includes travels to hostels all over europe. Russel is an amazing source and super friendly.. you feel like you are part of a family here.
Amazing breakfast and accomidations. I would recomend coming here any time... everyone who travels through salvador should definately stay here!

Great hostel guesthouse! You won't find a better place for the money.. really clean, great breakfast including choice of cooked meal.. Russell is really helpful and informative in terms of things to do and see, booking tours and recommendations of places to eat drink! We had a late flight on the day we checked out, but they let us use a room which was empty until we left for no extra charge =) this was much appreciated.

We enjoyed our time in the hostel very much: the nice atmosphere, the very helpfull, english speaking host, good breakfeast with fresh made pancakes, free internet, caipiria drinks at night...
