The location of the hostel is really out of town. It takes at least 20 minutes to get there. Also the area where the hostel is, doesnt offer any nice sights in particular. The Youthhostel just missed a nice warm atmosphere. The building is a bit old fashioned and it's more a huge hall than a cozy hostel. The food was below average: half cold and obviously made the day before. The rooms are OK, but really pricy. Then the staff is funny but not really service-minded.

This is a very classy joint. The facilities and rooms are dark and light wood, modern and well designed. Breakfast is very very good and plentiful - classic Swiss European. It outside the central area in a residential quiet area with frequent links to the centre.

Rooms were quite small - however it looks nice and modern.

I would not stay in this hostel again. It was massive, and very hotel like. There was really no community and the hostel charges you for everything it possibly can, on top of already been expensive. This is by no means a real hostel, it is clear that they are making a huge profit, and the facility is far too fancy. If you are looking for a hostel, this is not for you. If you are looking for a hotel where you share a room and bathroom, this is more similar to that.

Not good value, but then few things are in Zurich. It's easily reached by tram or suburban train, and it's comfortable, if quiet.
