The staff here is first rate! The facility compares favourably with the Santa Monica hostel; I would say better because of the highly motivated staff. Even the cleaning crew is top notch and a pleasure to talk with.

I found the rooms far too small for number of people (8). The lockers underneath bed were less than useless, it would be better if the hinge was at the bottom or better still not have them at all. Not enough toilets and showers. Staff could have been more helpful. Otherwise excellent facilities and lots of living room which is more important than bed room I hope these comments are constuctive. Overall very good and would stay again.

It was unbelievably hot!! there is no aircon or fans at all, and its like a greenhouse in the common room with the kitchen in the same place. u constantly smell like someones buring dinner. it was horrible. The staff were mostly rude and seemed to not want to help. Everything seemed like a chore for them, despite it being there job to help you. It was infuriating! DO NOT STAY HERE

Not the nicest hostel I've stayed at but it was ok. Rooms were clean but very dingy... wouldn't stay there again.

Good facilities but difficult to meet people. TV lounge should be bigger, get rid of all the desks.

This place is ok but don't expect the same quality as YHA Wellington.

The place is clean and the people are nice but it is very stuffy. There are no fans. The commonkitcheninternet area is stifling hot. Thus you must walk the 1 km into town to find a place to hang out. And take a cold shower before going to bed. Several of the showers were out on my floor, producing lines in the morning! There is a bikeluggage storage room, but it is always being accessed, so you will want to lock up your bike. You have to pay the min $2 fee every time you access your locker.
