The place was not very clean...I had to buy air freshner for the bathroom and bedroom-smelled like urine...Peoples food was eaten out of he fridge. I was overcharged for a night and it took the hostel 4 months to credit me back after I called several times to the manager and had to contact my credit card company. I would not suggest this place...go to craigslist!

I found the service at Venice Beach terrible. I was overcharged for 2 nights accommodation and when I asked staff about it they were extremely rude and hostile. Further emails contact to obtain a refund was completely ignored.
We were all on a budget but ended up paying the price of decent accommodation, to stay in a inferior hostel in an unsafe area with bad service.
I would not recommend that anyone stay here. If I were to return I would stay somewhere in Santa Monica it looks much nicer.

Good hostel, stayed in a private room which was HUGE and had free internet and a tv. Kitchen was ok, location good but a lot of homeless people around!

People there where really strange, we didn't feel safe in that part venice beach. Room was really nice, but bathroom and kitchen...terrible (we had private room with bathroom and kitchen). For us accomodation wasn't as good as it should be for that price.

best hostel we've stayed in so far, we stayed an extra night because we didnt want to leave! right by the beach, would definatly come again. We had a private room which was like a mini apartment with a computer and free internet which was a big plus

the only good thing about this hostel is the computer and tv in the room and location i would only recommend this hostel if you wanted to stay in Venice beach and do nothing else. the asian man that worked there was very unhelpful and smoked along the corridor so the rooms smelt like smoke. IF YOU WANT A REALLY GOOD TIME IN LA GO STAY AT THE SANTA MONICA HI INTENTIONAL ITS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING THE OFFER DISCOUNT TOURS TO ALL ATTRACTIONS AND ARE REALLY HELPFULL
