If you're a social person and want to have a good time, don't go there. Otherwise it's ok I guess.

Location was a little bit North of the action, but very easy to get everywhere on the public transport. Great old building with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Nice place to stay.

If only all hostels were of this calibre. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Sincere thanks to all the Nunnery staff.

Room I was in was right on Nicholson street - the noise was deafening. I'm guessing rooms off the street might be quieter.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was handy, dorm was quite messy but not smelly. Bed was comfortable. Met a few nice people.

The building itself was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the only living area was mostly taken up by long term residents and some were very nasty drunks (on a Monday night) that caused me to go to bed early to escape them. It was not a friendly atmosphere for the drop-in traveler. Bring earplugs as it can be a bit noisy. As an experienced traveler problems could be addressed if there was 24 hour staffing.
