A lovely clean hostel witth excellent facilities. In a good location. It was pretty quiet while I stayed there but the free BBQ was good (even though I'm vegetarian). The reception staff seemed to be having a huge argument when I turned up, the travel staff were not very knowledgable but the other staff were lovely. Highly recommended.

Nice setup. Staff are the weakest link though its sad to say. Some of the staff here were as useful as an inflatable dartboard! Some were unwilling to help unless it involved selling a tour. I asked the receptionist if i cud use to phone to call a 1800 freephone no. She told me to use the payphone upstairs. Payphone didn't work, came back down and then she tells me that one cant phone 1800 nos on the payphone!!!!

Great location. 10min walk to the beach. Chilled out place. Lacks security lockers. Very clean though nasty stench around the pool. Would stay again.

The Northern Greenhouse is located in the heart of Cairns. Three blocks back from all the action of Cairns. If your booked on a trip out to the reef, it's an easy walk to the whalfs. It's good a place to chill out and relax. You can't BYO which is good if your not into the party scene. It does have a bar which is down stairs and away from all the rooms so you can't hear it.
