Great location just a one minute walk from the bus station and central markets. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Owner was very eager to recommend restaurants, activities in Chiang Rai, and onward travel to Laos. Great food in restaurant with authentic Northern Thai food.

The hotel is old and tatty, the rooms are
expensive for what you get, also there tour
program is very expensive compared to other
local tour operators.I will not be using this hotel again as there is cleaner and friendlier accomodation in Chaing Rai for
half the room rate that The North charge.

Great location, Quiet hotel. Friendly staff, nice decor but small rooms and bathrooms. Transfer to airport (15-20 mins away) too expensive at 300 THB.

Location-close to bazaar&bus station,but a little loud.
Shower was terrible. Water goes from extremely cold to extremely hot.
Walls are air-thick. You can hear every door as it squeaks in the other room.
Room was in normal size, but sheets were not clean, and some initially missing.
The hostel offers trips - but they are extremely un-proportionally expensive!
In the future we will recommend to book somewhere else than this, as we understand there are better places in much less budget.

This budget hotel was amazing. It is right next to the night bazaar and 1 minute's walk to the bus station. They arranged a private tour very inexpensively! This hotel is simple, clean, and friendly, and the food and free computers internet, and free laundry are bonuses. While the accomodations are simple, the bed is comfortable and the linens were 1st class. The employees took my mother and me to a local walking street. I would absolutely stay here again if I were in Chiang Rai.

Taxi driver did not know the hostel and was not really helpful. Other locals helped finding it.

Definitely more of a hotel than a hostel. Very nice. Although I hope that the sheets were 'fresh' they didn't look that clean. Otherwise all good.
