The best hostel i have stayed in in South America! Great TV room, comfy beds, clean new sheets, air con, great location, cant ask for much more!

A nice low-key hostel, but not the best to meet people or party. But definitley a nice clean hostel in a great location. Very friendly staff too!

Great location In Impanema. There are many cool common areas to meet people and the staff is very freindly.

I had a fantastic time at The Mango Tree. The location was perfect - just around the corner from the beach and in a great and safe area. Security is so important when in Rio, and with the gate, buzzing system, lock under your bed,etc. it was really helpful. In particular, Tracy who works there was beyond helpful and welcoming, always ready to answer questions, give directions....She made my stay even better!

This hostel is a brilliant place to stay in Rio - wonderful location, very clean and tidy and with plenty of places to relax and unwind. The internet is free, the breakfast is good and in comparison the dorms are rather spacious. There were many sociable people staying here but if you are in to your big nights out then you may want a more lively hostel.

perfect location, just one block from the beach. After 22.00 you have to be quiet in the communal areas, otherwise you have to leave the hostel. A good rule, but too bad that people coming home from a night out make a lot of noise, so you will still wake up.
Good place, nice and very helpfull ( english speaking ) staff and hot showers.

The Manager is an absolute misery. The Hostel is right on a main thoroughfare and midweek, there's traffic noise from 5:30am to 111:30pm
