Awesome staff (good English, pleasant and well rested at any hour you arrival). They welcome you to the Kosmonaut and Lviv.
Great location for centre (or transport to other areas). It is quiet at nite. Nice, clean rooms and real bathrooms. Kitchen has room to cook, eat or share stories. The hostel decor is a plus.
The Australian owner is committed to Lviv. Kosmonaut is an excellent value. I will be back again!

We stood in the Kosmonaut hostel in Lvov. The hostel itself is brilliant, nicely decorated the staff is the friendliest ever, perfectly located, big communal areas to socialise, etc. Again, a very subjective matter, we opted for the “double bed en suite”. Wrong choice. It was the backgarden shed, freezing cold, no bed, just a run down sofa and the toilet, basin and shower were in the same tiny cubicle. Ochin priatno! The Kosmonaut is the hostel for Lviv. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about where to go and what sights to see. The location is great, the hostel clean, and the atmosphere for meeting people is... perfect. And if you want a better time in Lviv, ask the staff about "Thank you", "You're welcome", and "Please" in Ukrainian.

had bad luck with hostel being empty.. think this place is fun is it's full though. very clean, nice & helpful staff, very nicely decorated.

The hostel is smaller, so the other guests really affect how pleasant your stay will be. Unfortunately, when we were there a large group of disrespectful individuals was also present. Despite the staff beign helpful, they didn't do much about taking care of smaller groupsindividual travellers.
The hostel is also very dusty, and not clean.
No repeat here.

Staff is very helpful with advice on local shopping and transportation. We had a tricky train reservation situation and the night clerk wrote out a note in Ukrainian to help explain our requirements to the railway ticket clerk. This helped avoid what might have been a very difficult time for us.

I loved this hostel. Eddie is perhaps the coolest hostel owner I have ever encountered, and the rest of the staff is good about keeping guests informed on what's going on in town, etc. The theme of the place is lots of fun, the decor is amazing. It is very close to all hte places in the center you would want to see.

Impossible to fault (in 2 nights) - warm, comfy beds, storage, great staff, excellent facilities, good location, only wish I could've stayed longer.
