I had a wicked time at the hostel. friendly, social, homely, cosy atmosphere in an idilic location, just what i was looking for! i'd definately recommend it to anyone, whether travelling alone or as a group. By staying there, you get a true sense of what it feels like to live in the tatra mountains. I think i'll return soon and learn how to ski! thankyou xxx

This place is awsome!! Great location and Jim,Hayley and Chris are great and make you feel like you are at home, they even let us decorate the xmas tree which is real by the way!!! I would definately go back and recommend The Ginger Monkey to everyone!!!

Lovely staff. Wally the dog was great entertainment, as were the nights spent drinking beer and watching DVDs. The location is fantastic, with picturesque mountain views, and will be all the more awesome once the ski season starts proper!

Everything was fantastic. Planned on staying for 3 nights and stayed a full week. Sunday roast dinner, great dvds, great company, gorgeous dog and the singstar competition were just some of the things that made it a great place to relax. Thanks guys! I will be back to enjoy the snow when it comes...

This place was AWESOME! I spent two nights at the Ginger Monkey and didn't want to leave. The hostel is more of a lodge, very welcoming staff, get selections of DVDs, and fantastic banter with staff and other hostelers. The place is located in a picteresque area, surrounded by the Tatras Mountains. If you want to stay somewhere idyllic this is your place. Absolutely stunning. Will be coming back so very soon to see Wally!

We travelled as a family with a 12 and 9 year old. The staff, in particular Lisa made us so welcome and were really patient with our young boys. A great place to stay. We will certainly be back again.
