I would have appreciate better locks on the doors, like deadbolts. I wasn't too crazed about dealing with noisy families that live there on a full-time basis. It was appalling to see them not discipline their children. Maybe one floor should be designated to them? It was disruptive to have the children run around in the lobby. I don't blame the children, but the parent(s) who don't control them. Overall, my experience at the Allen Lee was good and I would definitely stay again.

it was a very nice hostel. really friendly staff and the location is great. just 6 blocks from the washington mall away.

Overall it was a very good hotel to stay at. The only tiny thing (literally) that we can complain about is a few bedbugs. We would stay there again despite these. Very, very good location.

We were expecting a hotel and got a hostel, maybe nieve, the name is a little misleading though. We had a small room on the 1st floor (lobby is the 2nd floor street level, 1st floor is beneath street level) and it was extremely noisy. Staff were very nice and helpful, definately the high point of the 'hostel'. We stayed one night and then found alternate accommodation(Hilton Hotel) for cheaper.

Overall, it was a very well kept hostel.. However, it was more like a hotel, so there was not much atmosphere in terms of meeting new people and going out. The one thing that I can say though was it was during Christmas, and not much was happening in general.. Would stay again in a busier time

The staff was very nice and helpful throughout our stay. We ordered a 3 BD room with no toilet and were upgraded to a room with toilet and shower for no charge. Although the room was all windows and facing the street so it was very lit at night it was O.K. the hotel warms the rooms using radiators which turn on and off during the night. This causes you to wake up cold sometime in the night.
Other than that it\'s worth the money.
