Great location less than a two minute walk from the Sky Tower. Friendly staff. Room was ok, bathrooms clean. No complaints. Easy access to the airport via the busses on Queen Street.

It's in the Thai part of town so there are some good take-aways on the door step, but the area is other-wise characterless and the hostel was a bit unfriendly - there seem to be people staying there long-term who have their network of friends and aren't interested in talking to anyone else. If you want a bit of character I'd advise staying a bit further out - like Mt Eden.

A fine base for arrivaldeparture in Auckland. The fact that the lift goes right past the reception is a bit of a security risk though.

Excellent location. Hostel itself is very basic. Beds aren't too comfy and the bathrooms need better maintenance. Would recommend checking out one of many other hostels.

there's nothing to do in auckland, so i watched a lot of tv with a bunch of people most of the time. hang out in the kitchen if you want to make friends.
