Very close to bus station, grocery, cafes, sights, ect. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The big common room is great for meeting people. The kitchen is spacious and there are adequate clean bathroomsshowers as well. It is difficult to rate the cleanliness because 3 traveler mishaps happened all at once that were not easy to clean.

Dirtiest hostel I've ever stayed in - sheets smelled, muck all over the floor and kitchen, no hot water to wash it all off you in the morning! Staff indifferent and unapproachable. We left early = poor experience of otherwise lovely town. Giving Scottish hospitality a bad name!

This hostel surpassed my expectations. The only problem I encountered was that neither of my keys seemed to work on the front door - but since people were regularly coming going this was not a major issue.
