This is the best hostel i have stayed in in Australia. i have stayed in 4 others and this is the best. i met some really nice people and the facilities werent always great but you had everything you needed. Ignore other reviews that say its not great because it really is.

reception is very disorganised, they could do with a bigger desk. The staff are friendly to a certain extent, when I booked extra nights, they never mentioned the 7th night being free. Check in isn't until 2 and even then the rooms aren't clean. There was an obvious mess on the floor and they just ignored it. When they do come in they're noisy, more interested in talking than doing their job. One guy threw a pillow on my legs while i was asleep, but still kept talking. I don't know why 2 peo...More

Very modern hostel with great facilities (although the kitchen was nowhere to be found). The cleanliness was poor and also this is clearly a party hostel so not for someone who wants peace and quiet (we had to listen to loud rap music from 3 to 6 am).

i dont know what other people are complaining about. i tink it is one of the best places ive stayed at. just not impressed the prices doubled just for tennis

Pretty good. Pretty clean - showers were a bit "hows ya father" but generally ok. Good price. Go for it.

air conditioning in the bedrooms was cold and could not be adjusted - staff were not helpful when asked to rectify this

Our room was great in every way! The hostel is clean and newly renovated. The only thing we missed was better possibilities of communication, like a pay phone and internet cafe.

The hostel looked a bit dodgy from the outside and it certainly didn't help that there were renovations going on but the new rooms are really nice and comfy. Once the refurbishment is over, I guess the character and fun score might be higher.
