Andrew the owner is lovely. Well organised if a little cramped but a great place to stay if you have an overnight stopover. A bit hard to find if you don't follow the directions provided.

great compact and clean hostel, right on the doorstep of the buzzing chinatown.. and ideally located near the MRT Stations for access all over Singapore. Rooms are nice and quite and the free breakfast is a good way to start the day..

this place is fabulous, near to MRT, china town Hawker, easy to find, the bed so Gud, no doubt for its cleaness, mr yip very helpfull, too bad there's no free internet :) but definitely wll recommend this place to others

Staying at Service World Hostel felt like visiting an uncle's place in Singapore. The hostel is really two small rooms with lots of beds, but it's clean, secure and has an air conditioner to combat the singaporean humidity. It's also right next to Chinatown (which is beautifully adorned with red lanterns everywhere) and its metro station. Andrew, the owner of the place, is awesome, helpful and friendly. I reckon it's a good place to stay for a couple of nights in Singapore.

I really enjoyed my stay at Service World Hostel. It's close to the MRT and the hawker stalls are right next to it. You can get great meals for less than S$3. Andrew the owner is a former director of city planner and knows everything about Singapore. He can tell you how to get everywhere. He can rattle off bus routes for you without looking anything up. He's an invaluable resource. Thanks for a great stay. clean, safe, cheap eats, what more does a backpacker need? Thanks
