We have to admit that Mariczka is doing her best to run sympathetic, friendly place. Location is perfect, its great value for money! I would only think about improving security of this place. Generally speaking its definitely worth to visit, this was my second time there, but in month or two you can expect me to visit you again. best regards

its a nice stay in retro hostel, mariana and mariachka are very friendly :) hope d hostel's staff always as friendly and nice, helpful as them. erm... kitchen stil under renovation, hope it'l get done soon.in general, its a nice hostel to stay!

Great place! The location couldn't be better. People on staff go out of their way to help. The price is right.
They do need so spend a bit of money and get their plumbing problems fixed. (And the little grocery a few doors down is really awesome).

I'm sure this hostel has improved since i stayed here, but i'm not sure which bits stick out worse, was it perhaps the rats that ran across the reception as i walked in! or the cockroaches i found hidden when i was looking for my ping pong ball, or maybe the exposed electric wires in the bathroom! If not, than all the building works, rudebusy girl who ran the place certainly made this place poor! The hostel is in the middle of renovations. The rooms have great character (exposed brick - plenty of heat).
There are piles of construction supplies in various places throughout the common areas, if you can turn a blind eye to that the hostel is great. Mariska is fantastic!

Would definitely recommend this hostel. Although work is still ongoing on certain areas this will not affect your stay. Staff were fantastic and extremely helpful. Arrived off night train from Kiev at 7am but this was still not a problem for the staff. Location absolutely perfect too.
