Unfortunately I cannot review this hostel as when we arrived the hostel was closed and the owner away.
However, I did manage to contact the owner and he did organise alternative accommodation for us. One piece of advice therefore: if you book this place - which is in a great little village perfect for a tour of Connemara - call ahead in advance to ensure the hostel is open.

Clean hostel & friendly staff. Short walk into the nearest village but besides that you would need a car to get around. Very quite hostel only bumped into a few other people. Recommended if you have your own car and want a quite place to stay.

A great hostel & town to stay in & if you are travelling by car it is central to some great sightseeing.

no hooks behind bathroom door to hang towelclothes. the receptionist wasnt very welcoming!

It's off the beaten track - It's not in Galway, but a 40-60min drive North, and after you get off the bus, you havee to walk about 34s of a mile to the remote location. It is excellent for those traveling by car, and those on there way through the little town of Oughterard.
