If you just want a very cheap place to sleep when visiting Galway, this is a good choice.

I had a great time at Nimmos hostel, very friendly hostelfather and great people staying there. It was not the cleanest or newest hostel, but had a great atmosphere, which counts 10 times more in my opinion. It's close to city center, hte busstation, shopping, nightlife and it's really cheap as well.

Jim's been an excellent host. He's the man looking after Nimmos Hostel. He made us just feel like being in an Irish home + the independence. He wouldnt bother you about anything as in what time to get back... He would always give you tips on where to go, what to do. We've been well looked after, and I have to say a whole french group can be picky. Jim gave us all a great memory of Galway thru is friendliness, patience and welcoming. And all that for barely nothing ! We'll come back !

The place was very very dirty. Even worse was the fact that the place was full of drunk teenagers. We were woken up by some of them vomiting in the bathroom at 4 am and it didn't stop until 6! That's no joke! Speaking of the bathroom you really were better off avoiding it. The staff weren't exactly friendly either. As we left that day we really wondered what they spent the 20 euro fee on. My recommendation is avoid this place until they get their act together.

Staff were very friendlyknowledgeable. TV room is very nice. Nothing too extravagant, but perfect for anyone who just needs a place to sleep for a few nights. Great price.

NIce chilled out place to hang if u need to save some bucks. It's not really happening butrthe people there were friendly. Pretty laid back.

there was a room you could put your belongings but you could only have acceess to it until 1am. the rooms didnt have locks. it was fine to stay maybe one of two nights.
