Good, clean hostel for the night. Bathrooms were cleaned daily, and the showers were nice. No problems with that. Location was in the middle of all the sites, great location, and a 247 store nearby. Security was good, minus our door was left cracked open twice in 3 days when we closed it and the only people in the room.
Lack of fun though, not many other people doing much there. More local tourists than anything.

I would definitely recommend staying at this hostel! It's close to everything, clean and has internet! Easy to find too.

An excellent find. So close to everything and steps from the Hermitage. I can't believe the cleanliness of this place, it's amazing. The kitchen is spotless and since there is a supermarket across the street, it's easy to do your own cooking here. An incredibly sociable place. I met SO many people here. One thing they could work on is having more English speakers at the front desk, but they were friendly about everything. Otherwise, my stay was fantastic!

Fanastic hostel. 2 minutes walk to Hermitage.
Getting a taxi from any of the train stations they ask for 1000 roubles. Pay only 350. It is nearly worht paying unless you arrives at Moscow station. The blue sign to the hostel is located next door to Louis Vutton. To find the street it is directly opposite ZARA on Nevsky pros. Hostel deals with stamping your passport for free.
Beware that lots of the attractions in St. P close on either Mon or Tues.

found the staff helpful particularly the girl who was on duty on the desk the night I left -17th she ordered me a taxi for the Moscow station and let me stay in the kitchen part of the hostel until it arrived. Hostel world please give directions to hostels in Russian as well as English it would be very useful and save a lot of stress, especially for us older travellers

Really nice place, great location. Rooms could be cramped if the place is full and could really do with some decent local information to help guests. otherwise recommended.
