Lodge 121 was an excellent hostel. The rooms were very clean, as were the bathrooms and the rest of the hostel. What makes 121 is the staff, especially Jay who combines excellent English, knowledge and attitude. He answered all of our questions, couldn't be anymore helpful and was also good to talk to in any event. Although it is slightly out of town, coming from a lazy person, the walk is not a problem at all. We wouldn't have spent so long in Kuching if it wasn't for 121!

Quiet, clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated and homely. Helpful staff. All day tea and coffee. Teatoast for free breakfast. Deserves its high hostelworld rating. Would happily stay there again.

One of the best places to stay to see Kuching and its environment. Free and fast internet, a nice basic breakfast and the staff has answered all our questions and provided us with good information (they also arrange transport to most attractions)

WOW!What can we say about Lodge 121,it's AMAZING!Henry&his staff are awesome.It's probably the cleanest&nicest backpackersguesthouse we've ever stayed in.Henry is a wonderful host,& he has taken such wonderful care of us,the real personal touch!I can't recommend this place enough.It's fantastic value for money,great location,an all round winner!I will definitely be staying here again& would urge anyone making a visit to Kuching to stay at Lodge 121!we came for 1 day&are staying for 7!Thank...More

The boss has very cleverly and creatively converted the place into a very cozy and warm setting. Having travelled to many places in Asia, this is one of the best places that we've stayed.
Henry and his staff did not treat us as guests but friends.
We recommend lodge 121 and you will be thankful to us for this introduction for we know that you will enjoy your stay there.

We planned to stay 2 nights but ended up staying 5. Henri and his staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. The place is spotless and you feel completely at home. I would say this is by far the best hostel we have ever stayed in.

Had a nice relaxing stay. The staff were superb - incredibly friendly and informative. The rooms and communal areas were very clean, modern and comfortable. Free internet also. Only 510 mins easy walk from town center and lots of eateries near by. Recommended.
