Extraordinarily freiendly & helpful staff, close to lake & pool. Room needs more of a clean. Great place with relaxed atmosphere, hammock, bikes, bar, outdoor chairs, books, games, internet, good breakfast, weekly cook-up.

Zero complaints. One of my favorite hostels in Europe. Family is fantastic. Rooms immaculate. Location beautiful. Met great people. Outstanding facilities for outdoor or indoor activities.

I had traveled for 11 days in italy from milano to rome and stay in 7 hostaels this one was the best. very nice staffe, room and hotel decoration was splendid. alot of fun including a barBQs and more surprises.

so much fun! incredibly relaxing, a very charming little town. the staff is very friendly, helpful and hospitable. i highly recommend La Casa sul Lago.

Best hostel ever! It is quite far out in the countryside, but the hostel staff cheerfully drove us to and from the train station every day. (Even so, it might be best for those with vehicular transport of their own). There's an awesome little restaurant that costs half what you would expect to pay in the city.

The staff was excellent here and were very friendly and helpful, even looking up train times and providing rides for free when we needed to get somewhere quickly. They also provided us with free dinner and breakfast and accomodated for special dietary restricitions. It was an excellent place to stay and the owner is wonderful!

highly recommended! breakfast was pastries with honey, nutella, and jams, cereals, juices, and coffee. they even made us a huge dinner with spaghetti, gnocchi, salad, and a ton of wine and grappa. the bike trails were gorgeous and the staff were all friendly. they gave us a ride to and from the train station for free. if you're going to Perugia or anywhere around there, stay here!

If you miss the last train to the Magiore station, make sure you call the owner of the hostel first before paying for a taxi! However, if you do have to take a taxi make sure you stress to the driver that the hostel is in Magiore NOT in Perugia, since there is a Via Del Lavoro in both places. Overall, the hostel was my favorite one in Italy. We got free hats, a great free breakfast, and a free ride to the train station. I loved it! I wish I could have stayed longer!

Giangiacomo will not steer you wrong. You will have an amazing time, thats a guarantee. Take advantage of the free breakast, dinner, bike rentals, and pool (if the season permits). I will come back again if ever in Perugia.
