The staff at this hostel were very friendly and helpful, and spoke good enlgish. The rooms were clean and the beds were warm, meals reasonably priced. The only drawback about this place is its location, about 40 minutes by bus from Kyoto!!

Good hostel. Nothing special, but if you are looking for a place to sleep for cheap definitely a good deal. Staff is nice, internet access as well as long distance phone. Not the best common areas but not bad.
I would stay here again.

it is a very good hostel and has very high standards of cleanliness and friendlisness. it i particularly loved its japanese style bathroom as well as its traditional look, which are an introduction to japanese culture. although the location is not too convenient to reach the city centre, it is close to important attractions in western kyoto.
