The staff were excellent - so helpful - providing us with trains and connections from JR Namba to the airport as we were flying out the following morning (without us even asking for them). It's a little dated but very clean and you can't beat it for location right beside Dotombori.

The staff was friendly and the room was great; also bigger than what we'd gotten used too. To find the place, we had a taxi call the hotel to ask for directions.
I'd recommend ordering (Japanese) breakfast at this hotel. The breakfast was good, but the best part was starting the day off by having it served to our room. Great service.
If animemangamaid cafes is your thing, don't miss out Den Den town, which is within walking distance.

the propitiator of this ryokan speaks perfect english and is very very??helpful for basic concierge services! definitely recommended. also, i read other reviews that mentioned difficulty finding it... well, if you are lost in japan it's probably your own fault. the subway offers and excellent map of the area, between the online map and the subway i was fine.
