We`ve had double booking problem (I don`t know whose fault was that: Hostel`s or Hostelworlds`?). So, we slept in a guesthouse nearby, which we could not recommend to anyone.
Staff in Jakelj hostel was very friendly and helping. Finally, this hostel is most suitable for those with their own car, due to its location (it is 5 km away from Bled).
All in all, this is a great hostel, but make sure you actually sleep in it, not in houses nearby!

This hostel was such a pleasant surprise. the location wasn't in bled, but 10 minutes away. They pick you up, and drop you off so it doesn't matter. its a family owned hostel and the home cooked 3 course dinner for 6 euro was more than enough reason to stay there. super friendly. great place in an awesome little slovenian village. overall it was better than most of the other more expensive places we have stayed. one of my favorite in the world!

Run by a well meaning hot tempered man who trusts little and jumps to crazy conclusions regularly there is never a dull moment, especially at the end of a set dinner (fun and worthwhile) when its time to pay. Damien (the owner) can be fantastic depending on how clearly you can articulate your request and how willing he is to understand. Make sure you all agree to whatever you are discussing. Conflicts can and do arise.

We loved this hostel and would definitely stay there again. Damien and his wife were amazing! The meals were incredible and very inexpensive, especially for what you get. We were driven where we needed to go and picked up again at the end of the day. They really take care of you at this hostel!

Damjen is a legend. He really makes sure everyone has a great time and gets you to where you want to go for each day. The breakfasts and home cooked meals were awesome. I cant recommend this place enough. Thanks Damjen.
