this hostel had the guts to turn my family down on arrival, although i had a reservation from 2 months before. the receptionist was so nice though to find other accomodations in Inverness,In the end we finished up paying 70 pounds more for the 3 nights because we had to take an 8 sleeper.But the highlander hostel was great and would get a good rating.The tourist hostel although should actually be repremended for such an ill behaviour!!!

The doors are shutting very loudly so there was a lot of noise during the night of people going to the bathrooms

Pity the internet wasn't working but it was a good place to stay at, right next to the bus stop and walking distance to the city centre.

Nice place, somewhat hidden away, but all the staff were awesome, the guest I met all went out together at night for drinks, but had a weird experience walking into the tv room at night to hang out to walk into a bachelor strip party going on.... the next day the room was...well.. pretty gross... hostels are a community place... not a private party place..just fyi.
