Excellent staff that help in easing in with Kyoto life. Ryokan is very homely and is in a quant street.

Even though I stayed for only one night it was a very pleasant stay. The location is very convenient. Only a short walk from the station and the staff at Ikoi-n-ie were so friendly and helpful, and very attentive to any of our needs. I will stay there again the next time I visit Kyoto.

Our room was small and there is only one shower but our stay was great. The staff speaks excellent English and is very useful. The ryokan is very well located particularly if you want to go out at night around Pontocho and Gion (2 metro stops away). It is also very close from Kyoto's main train station which is great if you plana day-trip to Himeji for example .

The staff, particularly Manami, were excellent and very helpful with good English skills. The rooms are only big enough to sleeprest in (ie quite tiny) but since you spend the whole day out anyway, it was not a problem.
There is a nice bathhouse round the corner (10 seconds away) where you can soak in hot water and rest your feet. It is close to both bus and subway so getting around was easy too!

Great place. Super clean and comfortable. If you want to stay in a Japanese style place, but don't want to spend the money, I highly recommend Ikoi-no-le.

A clean and efficient ryokan. Great security and internet, laundry and kitchen services. Staff are friendly and were able to help with questions about seeing Kyoto.
