Nice staff, phoned ahead to a bar, seeing if they had a new year's party. Really friendly and cosy.

The inn owner is very knowledgeable about sightseeing in the local area and public transportation. The owner's wife is very on top of things. You can't beat the location...four short blocks to the Peace Park, four more blocks the other direction to the tram line. The rooms are brand new and spacious. The breakfast is a decent deal (either western or japanese style), but dinner should be eaten out.

This ryokan is in a great location. They also provide free internet access in the common area, which was great. It could do with some further cleaning, especially to the bathroom area and it did smell very strongly of stale cigarette smoke in some areas despite being a non-smoking establishment.

Great bedroom with excellent conditions , helpful staff and quiet neighborhood, relatively easy to find if you follow the instructions. Highly recommended.
