As a single female traveller I was a little worried about what I would find when I arrived. This guest house was a nice surprise. It was basic, but it was clean and very homely. The staff were lovely and very helpful. I have no hestitation in recomending this to anyone!!!!

The guest house itself is nice enough, but absolutely do NOT use Himalayan Glacier, the travel agent they recommend. It was hideously expensive and the guide was the laziest, sleaziest and most dishonest I've ever had.

The staff is very helfful, especially Rishci. They are also very helpful with organising tour packages and very reasonable prices. Will definitely stay there again when i go back to Nepal. Cheers guys! Nik (Carlos) From Australia.

this is a nice place in the center of Thamel - it doesn't get more central than this!
Sadly, the hostel owner introduced me to a "friend" of his who tried to sell me a travel deal for about 20 times its market value, as though I was some kind of an idiot.
And unless it's peak season, you're better off just showing up and taking a room on the spot (about $3 in most places), rather than paying the exuberant prices they charge through this site.
