The Staff at Pensao Mar Azul were wonderful, they made our stay really special.

Do not expect one of those horrible concrete monsters. It is a very cosy and traditional place in the very heart of the town.All restaurants and entertainment directly outside within a maximum of 5 min walking distance. Local buses in 1 min and central bus station in 10 min walking distance,to train station about 15 min. Simple,but decent breakfast with plenty of coffee or tea.Good and reliable information on any activity,trip or problem.

Small but great. If you're tall try and get the bed without a foot board. The location was the best, right in the middle of all the cafe, restaurants. The rooms where upstairs and with a view overlooking the river and to the beach.

I had one of the rooms with the shared bath. it was a small room but had a view of the water out the window. The room does have a shower and sink in it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was juice, coffeetea, and toast. The location was great. It was near the water and also near many restaurants.

The staff was very very kind. The Pensao Mar Azul is in a old building, very typical and my husband and I appreciated it a lot. The furniture is simple but original and you feel like at home. Another good thing is that the Pensao is not close to the pubs and bars full of Irish and Britons who make a lor of noise (because they drink a lot), so the place is quiet.
