This hostel came recommended by Lonely Planet, but I was not impressed. We paid $40 extra per night to have our own room, which was actually a spacious apartment, but even though the door was locked and there were bars on the windows, our camera was stolen out of the room while we were gone. The place looked clean, but we found a cockroach in the bedroom and ants infiltrated my backpack. Although, the view from the balcony is amazing.

Great view, cramped bedrooms but you get what you pay for and it was definitely worth the money. I got lots of mosquito bites in M.A though so watch out! Try to get a room by the bathrooms and enjoy the hammocks!

The cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in, it felt more like a hotel watching the staff sweep and clean everything daily. The location is amazing, with an incredible view over the Pacific Ocean, which you can watch from a hammock. The vibe of the place is totally relaxed. Would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone.

Very fun time here. It is set up so everyone gets to know each other easily. The staff is helpful. The view is great. It is a slippery climb to the dorms if raining and a 30min walk to the beach (u can ride the bus), but I will stay here again next time. Great place.

Stupendous hostel, even if you're rained in as we were for a day. Very social environment, but chill. Staff is extremely accomodating and fun to hang out with. Great base station for going on adventures at the beach or at the national park. The hammocks and card tables on the rain deck are a great touch. Go ACDC!
