It's a great Hostel. Loved the music in the bar downstairs. Met some nice people. It was clean. Great :D

Had a great time here. It was like coming home every night. :) Staff are friendly and helpful, always got a good night's sleep.

Location was a bit off, but ok, a 10 min walk to brixton station & 10 min drive to viktoria station. Mildew on the bath walls, hot water was rare, the rooms were pretty cold. stairway reeked of the restaurant downstairs.. yucky! The bar was nice, 20% of for hostellers! Staff & people were nice, too! A lot of long terms are staying there.

This is a bar that happens to have beds above it.
Far from central London (last stop on the Underground) and a good distance from that stop.
Rooms are not very clean and one of the beds (travelling in a group) was double booked so someone had to sleep in the TV room.
There are much better hostels in London, this should probably be a last resort...
Hostel only has high ratings because long stay customers quite literally live there.

Nice bar downstairs, loud music untill 3 in the morning. Old facilities. Safe place tot leave your car.

Ok, we have to distinguish from the Hostel to the Pub. The hostel sticks of Thai food (there's a Thai kitchen in the pub), the rooms are in terrible condition, the moquette is dirty, the locker are not in the room but in the corridor, the guest kitchen is without any aspiration system!
But the toilet and the showers are cleaned avery morning buy the staff anche there's a nice living commn room with tv anche a free (but realy slow) wifi connection to the internet.

The hostel is above a pub which provided a good option for a few drinks and there was some brilliant music on. It's easy to get to from brixton tube station and we also found it easy to get about to do some sightseeing. There are quite a few people staying there on a long term basis, which is always a good sign.
It was very clean and tidy, bed linin was provided free of charge as was a locker to keep valuables safe, but don't expect luxury.
