The staff are very friendly and helpful. Allison is the best! It is a bit far from the city center, but the metro makes it simple to get there in 15 minutes. Overall, a great, reasonably priced place to stay.

The bedding was a little sub par, but I was warm and slept alright regardless. It's a bit outside of downtown, but the metro is right across the street so it's only a 15 minute ride to Union Station.

Good place if you wanna have a good time after some sightseeing in D.C. Great people, free internet and chill out atmosphere. The best hostel from all i`ve visited in usa

This hostel was OK but there were a few things which could be improved.Firstly the house is full of smoke. Secondly there are only 3 bathrooms and lots of people. The hostel is across the road from the metro but is kind of out of town. The security is basically non existent, with no keys given out at all. The kitchen facilities are good and the place has a friendly vibe.

I wouldn't recommend them in a fit because they allow smoking indoors. They make a small concession by confining smoking to downstairs but that is every bit as silly as having a peeing corner in the swimming pool. I even wonder if what they are doing is legal and if it is, they should make it clear on their web site and advertising that this is a smoking venue and thus alert those who donn't want to be part of it to avoid them.
