A little way out from the town and a bit frustrating paying every time, and the bus stops at 4.30. It's a long walk uphill! Scenery and setting great though, especially if you have your own transport. Staff very friendly and helpful and a nice big cosy seating area to meet other travellers. Dorms were huge though and can get a bit noisy.

The hostel is out of town, so the location is not the best. There's a FREE shuttle running from the hostel to town, twice a day. The times are not the best, but at least you don't have to grab a cab!
The hostel is very, very clean and really fun! Great staff (thanks again, especially for the speakers :P).
The dorms are very big and dark! It would be nice to have a (bed)light in de room, so you can (un)pack with lights! Maybe you can include that in the renovations??

A fun hostel, great people, very cheap, lots of kitchen space and with the location just by Whistler mountain you couldn't ask for more

There is very little security in the dorms here - anyone could come and go and the lockers aren't really big enough for big backpacks or suitcases - but given that the hostel is really in the middle of nowhere it doesn't matter so much! Not a good location if you don't have your own transport. The kitchens are no where near big enough for the amount of people in the dorms. Huge dorms so it can get a bit hectic. But clean and the staff were approachable.

so far from downtown jasper and too many beds in one room.. would have been nice to have more room types to choose.

Although this hostel is just out-of-town, it's not hard to get to if you plan it right. There is a Sundog shuttle that leaves from "the totem pole" by the train station every half an hour or so throughout the day (I got the exact schedule from the Information Centre in Jasper). It costs $5 for that shuttle. However even if you factor in transportation costs to get up there, staying at the hostel is still SOOO much cheaper than staying at a hotel at the townsite!
