Our stay was lovely and we very much enjoyed it. The directions given were clear, although they could mention that the house is up a hill from the railways station at Kasern. No problem for fit young-uns or if you have a car, but potentially a problem if you're after somewhere on the flat. Otherwise just perfect. How lovely that when Austrians name a road "Panorama Way" it actually does have a panoramic view!

Very beautiful view on Salzburg and Unterberg mountain. No problems with transportation to the city centre: trains and buses go frequently and fast. Nice and clean rooms. You can come and go any time you wish.

The hostel was in a beutiful location and we felt cared for in a homely place. The mattresses were uncomfortable because they sagged in the middle and with only one bathroom to share with all, tricky. Nice breakfast and view. A bigger towel would have been great.

the hike up the hill was quite tiring, especially with big heavy bags. so i would advice taking a taxi there on the first day. the hotel provides very detailed and complete instructions on how to go to town and back by bus or train. the house and scenery was beautiful. i found the staff helpful but intimidating though. food is quite hard to find around that area.

Excellent view of Salzburg from the place. Very helping and informative staff. The only negative point about the place is its distance from the city and connectivity from the city. From the bus it takes atleast 10 mins walk and a part of it is up the hill. Unfortunately the climate in which we went was also not supportive but all in all a good experience at a nice place.

Good location, only a train stop or 15min bus ride from the city. The house had lots of character, and nice to be in the hills outside Salzburg. Breakfast was basic, but a good start for the day. Family was very friendly.
