For information about where to buy bus tickets or if there was a phone centre around i went down the road to Ipanema Beach House as Harmonia knew nothing.
Also if you are in room 3 there is a big glassless window thing in the wall that is open to the reception and common room area, so sleep even with earplugs is hard sometimes.

Really cool, laid back hostel. Its in a really good location and the staff are very helpful. Only downside is the bathrooms can get a bit busy in the mornings. Would definately stay again.

The 4 person dorm was more like an overized shoebox. But the kitchen and common areas were lovely

We love Harmonia!! It was the best welcome at the start of our travels in a strange city to arrive somewhere so friendly and homely. The gated courtyard made us feel really safe and was really sociable to meet people from all the other hostels. The staff were all ridiculously nice and helpful and we met loads of great people!! We missed it so much we stayed here again when we came back to rio.
