We stayed during the Hogmanay period. On the whole we enjoyed our stay, however the owner is extremely business like, which we found off putting (she almost chased us out the door to ensure that we paid on the first day as her representative didn't ask us when we checked in). However after staying a couple of days we were surprised when she gave us a small gift to wish us Happy Hogmanay, so we didn't feel so bad about her after that. Be prepared to pay up front for your accommodation!
