Gold Coast was a different kind of hostel - young crowd, but not the kind that stay up all night and party. Its a hostel where there is a choice between getting a good nights sleep or a wild night. There arent many hostels like that

Great place - as new, gourmet kitchen and amazing, large bathrooms, nicer than most hotels. Quiet spacious dorms, great common areas, location close to all nightlife. Not a party hostel but you only need to step out the door if you want that scene.
Only suggestions are extremely minor - would be good to have communal basics in kitchen (oil, tea etc) and shower was not very hot, but obviously these are minor quibbles.

One of the cleanest and well furnished hostels I have stayed at. Rooms, common room and facilities are all great and modern. Brian runs the show and lays down some rules youre forced to stick too, such as you cant have non-guests come into the building and if you throw up you get kicked out. Great hostel but if your in Lagos to party your better off at the Rising Cock.

I had an absolute ball for my first time in Portugal. The staff were excellent and very helpful with every need, I will definitely be returning in high season and will pass on the hostel details to friends.
