Its a sport-hostel, mainly for groups, but also for individula guests a good option. Very clean and efficient. There is a bar downstairs and a good restaurant with reasonable prices in the sports-complex. Its not really the best area in the northern suburbs of Essen, but transport with the U17 is quick and efficient .
