The owner, Seema, was incredibly friendly and helpful. She was available whenever you needed her and gave very useful information on the city and things to do. Good value for money. Useful free internet on the computer. Good facilities overall. Really good place to stay. Room was basic but clean.

It is a veryu quiet place. It's clean, and the staff very friendly. I juste stay 1 night, but I think I will go back in the same place when I will return to Auckland.

We had a fabulous stay at Freemans Lodge. The staff and management are excellent and always more than happy to make your stay even more relaxing and pleasant. It is like being home and a perfect place for the weary traveller to rest and recuperate after a long journey.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay here again! The owner was so considerate, doing everything she could to make our stay perfect, despite being in hospital with her daughter! She even looked after me snowboard while I was on a trip! Lovely room, super comfy bed - more like a hotel than a hostel. Friendly staff, clean, close to Ponsonby... can't say enough good things about the place and the owner! Good luck!
