the toilets were in horrible condition. Need to be cleaned every hour. A girl before me obviously had her period and there was blood on the toilet seat!! the little soap bars are really unhygenic. I can't believe you are allowed to use them when so many different people use them. There needs to be something more in the shower for people to put their stuff on. all my clothes got wet as there were only 2 hooks to put my stuff on. The fan was broken in my room (106) and there was gum on the bed.

I was happy to stay here, the only negative aspect was the lack of cleanliness in the kitchen from the other guests, it would take more control.

This hostel was miserable, there were cockroaches everywhere and very dirty. I don't recommend that you stay there.

Stayed for 17 nights and it was great. Very friendly place and also a continental feel that made a change from all british people. Also enjoyed the 2 tv rooms open 24-7, especially with the premier league being on in the middle of the night.

Definitely, I would not come back to Harbour City backpackers anymore!
My room was completely messy, my blankets were not washed, the toilet was always dirty, the staffs were stressed, the breakfast was terrible and my double bed did not have ladders, can u believe that?!

Nice staff, location and character but the kitchen was really crowded and the sinks were filthy! Also, they closed the bathrooms and kitchens at inconvenient times

Ok hostel in a very old building close to the art gallery and botanical garden but a long walk from everything else. Woolloomooloo area almost deserted at night.
