I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. Its like a little backyard oasis in the chaos of San Jose. It has a pretty good atmosphere and its kept pretty clean. The only problems we had were with the staff at the front desk when they wouldn't call us a van cab to get to the bus station because they said it was to difficult.

Great hostel, a little far from the city but San jose sucks at night anyways. Met some cool people to hang with while at the hostel. Fun times. Clean place. Comfortable stay before my flight out. Booked a interbus shuttle for 10$USD to the airport the day before online and got picked up at the hostel hassle free. interbus.com is the site i believe.

Good stopover at San Jose. the place is nice with free internet. The hammocks by the pool were nice. Resturant on site was great too. don't bother booking the shuttle,cause I got a cab for the same price ($18US) from the airport. You can actually take a bus from downtown to the airport for less than $1US, but a bit of walking from hostel. Overall, I recommend it to young travellers.

The place is a maze inside and we were switched rooms, which was a pain. The price was ok but not the best value around, but it was good to have lots of free computers and coffee. Movie room was also good and it had plenty of tours available, just the staff were not as friendly as I had expected.

must be the best hostel in san jose, nice pool. trains going by and wakening at 6am is not good thing if you have a hangover. Food at restaurant was perfecto!
