I can't remember when I had so much fun. The owner, Paul, was easy-going and reminded me of my favorite uncle when I was little. I got to meet people from all over the world, who got together at night and talked and laughed and shared their stories with each other. Whenever I travel to Melbourne again, this is where I'll stay.

The hostel is very familiar and Paul the manager really friendly. Nice atmosphere, very cheap internet and smokers are more than welcome!!!
I think its the best and cheapest hostel in Melbourne and close to the It-suburbs and CBD!

Collingwood hostel is like a home from home. The location is perfect for food clubs and shops-like a mini london but with a 10th the people. The staff at the hostel are laid back in the best way but always helpful. The hostel is always clean due to the brilliant new cleaner who answers to the name of Mary! Definitely the place to say when in Melbourne.

Smoker's paradise, but the Hell for Non-Smokers. If u want to have flys and trash all around, just stay a night there. The owner is pretty fiendly unless u ask him for extra services.

Its easy to get to and the area around it is pretty nice, with cool shops you wont see in the city centre. The hostel itself has character and that is what I liked about it. I'm not going to lie, its not the cleanest place, but i do enjoy the outdoor patio. The owner is really fun even though he tries to give you a hard time. Make sure to book more than one night... otherwise he\\\\\\\'ll suggest a formule 1. Enjoy!
