I couldn't lock the door to my bedroom! Even after making a reservation no one was at the office and the nice man in the wine store next door had to call the owner. The bed sheets were a little damp but that was because of the closeness to the water. The room was freezing and no heat was on- a bad thing in the middle of the winter. The water was hot.
I felt very unsafe. Beautiful area. Loved the town. Would recommend Cinqe Terra but not this hostel, esp. in winter time.

Just a converted apartment with three beds. The owner was great. Good for a cheap place to stay, but not much else. The electricity was questionable, but it turned out ok.

Nobody was in the hostel when i got there. I had to leave my luguage at the train station and come back at 7pm. nobody answered the phone when I called.

great location in the middle of riomaggiore. its more like a little apartment- full kitchen and free laundry! there was no one at reception with a note on the door so i had to call which was frustrating as i arrived on time at 11am.. but it was the holiday season so i would assume thats not typical

not too bad. very kind, but late when I wanted to check-in. It happened to the others as well in the same room.

DIRTY BEDS!! ELECTRICITY GOES OUT AND THE OWNER DOES NOT HELP YOU AT ALL! DO NOT STAY HERE! BROKEN DOOR AND NO HOT WATER. STAY AT PATRIZIA THE OWNER'S BROTHERS PLACE. IT'S 2 EUROS MORE AND ACTUALLY ON THE WATER. THE PICS ARE NOT OF CINQUE TERRE HOLIDAYS.

the room was old and strange and small and there was weird old furniture which just took up space rather than being useful. the owner rushed us in, took our money, then disappeared saying the office would be closed the following days. if you go to riomaggiore (especially in the off season) you are better finding a hostel when you get there. there are tons of signs for 'rooms available' and the rates are pretty much the same..

This place felt like an adapted loft. There were 7 people in 2 rooms and a communal kitchen and bathroom. Fairly clean, but everything's pretty old. The town is all the way at the end, so a perfect place to start the famous Cinque Terra hike. Staff not particularly friendly, but it doesn't matter because you don't see them anyways and you don't need directions at this destination. Cinque Terra is beautiful!!
