The room leaked and smelled of mold. We ran away as fast as we could....

Had an amazing stay at Misti Chill Hostel! I've travelled around enough to know a good place when I stay at one. The place is chill and the vibe is good! Staff memebers are very friendly and eager to help with anything. I loved the breakfast they put out each morning. The bus station pick up was also a plus. It's truly a little slice of paradise.

Bed had bugs crawling on the matress. Room was very cramped to get in bed and no room for belongings. No locker in room and door didnt really lock. BBQ on Saturday night was meant to be for 10 people, all you can eat when we signed up. But when it came to dinner time, twice that many had been signed up and there was not nearly enough food so we were all still hungry. Staff were good though and people friendly.

Good place overall, but just be warned, they skimp on the small stuff. You have to rent towels, internet and lockers are not free. Quickly can add up to the price of a place in the historic district. They are however very friendly and helpful. The tours they organize are fine as well. There are also a lot of families that stay here, not exactly a youth hostel(could have been timing)

A really nice atmosphere and great staff made this a great place to stay in Paraty. They did significanlty hike up the prices for the New Year period which made it really quite expensive. But that is the high season in Paraty and seems to be the price you pay.
