Excellent little family-run pension for a great price! The owners were friendly and accommodating. Had more of a hotel feel - no real common room except for a patio in the middle, and if you're looking to meet people in the hostel, this probably isn't the place. However, the patio is great if you already have a group. Location is great - Lagos is so small that although the hotel is not in the very center, it is literally a few minutes' walk away.

Probably one of my favorite hostels thus far. Very close to everything but just far enough to be quiet and relaxing. Not a party atmosphere at all but very much the feel of home away from home. Perfect for me.

like staying with your gran. the owner (granny) is so cute, she buzzes around and sees if your ok, all smiles, but not much english. she even does your laundry for 6euros. sitting out on the terrace is cool as fellow travellers swap stories. not really a party place, its more like a share-house than a hostel.my only complaint is that the bunk was really squeeky, so any movement was unbearably loud. else it was fine and easy walking distance to everything.

we had a room in the house next to casa sousa. there was a bit of mix up with reservation as we were supposed to have own bathroom. the room was ok, quite small just room for beds and our bags. The window didnt open properly which was a bit annoying. The staff were ok, yes the lady was very sweet but communicating was hard. lots of loud annoying people in the kitchen both nights kept us awake. so would be fun if we were doing the same. was hoping for own balcony but i that may only be in the mai
