I don't think the location can be beat! There is a lot to do in the area and you can travel anywhere else easily. Having the bar on the lower floor is amazing and provides for plenty of entertainment. I will be staying at the Cambie again, for sure!

the hostel itself is recommendable, but for the wintertime it was a bit too cold because the rediators didn't work well and the windows are very old!
also the atmosphere between the guests wasn't really friendly... it seemed like everyone did his own stuff and didn't matter about anybody else... (maybe it's better to remove the tv from the lounge!!)

Cool hostel, great pub downstairs, spacious rooms. More privacy in bathrooms would be good though.

Very fun hostel bar in a somewhat shady area. Not the cleanest but tons of fun. Oh yea, and apparently the right side of the bar is for hostelers and left for locals.
